With more than 3000 years age, ancient port city Soli/Pompeipolis is located to the west of Kilikia Peias and 11 kms distance to Mersin. There is not much information about the early age of the city. There are weapons and stamps that were found in Soli. They belong to Middle Bronze Age and are now being exhibited in Berlin Staatlichen museum.
